Superb Fairy wrens are a familiar and welcome site to any garden or bushland setting. Large groups led by one dominant male hop in such a distinctive and cheerful manor as they search for food. During the breeding season the male will be resplendent and set to impress the ladies in his full head dress plumage of iridescent blue. Often he will foolishly expend a lot of energy at car mirrors or windows telling his own reflection to go away.
